Thank God for Apex and Brian M!Posted on Google Just a guyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been in the outpatient program here for about seven weeks. Can’t say enough good things about the program and about my group’s counselor, Brian. Apex and Brian have helped me get clean and sober and helped me maintain my sobriety after inpatient rehab. Ive learned about myself, addiction, and tools to stay sober now and that I can take with me when I complete the program. I do in-person outpatient rehab in the evenings at the Franklin location and I look forward to going every time. Brian is a very knowledgeable and positive therapist and creates a very comfortable, tight-knit group where we trust each other and can share participate freely. I also went to in-person rehab at the Columbia location. It was also a great experience. The therapists, recovery specialists, and medical staff were all incredibly awesome - they helped me through a very difficult time. Very grateful for all of them. Mental Health Care and Primary Addiction Treatment Under One Roof
Most treatment centers in Tennessee choose a lane. They either treat mental health conditions and refer substance use out, or they treat addiction and hope the depression, anxiety, or trauma underneath it settles down on its own. Apex Recovery does neither. We operate as a primary mental health treatment provider and a primary drug and alcohol rehab at the same time, across our Tennessee locations, including Brentwood and Columbia.
On the mental health side, our clinical team treats depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety, and personality disorders as conditions worth treating in their own right, not as symptoms that will resolve once someone stops drinking. That means real psychiatric oversight, evidence-based therapies, and medication management delivered by clinicians who work with these diagnoses every day, in a setting built for stabilization rather than short-term crisis management.
On the addiction side, we provide full primary care for substance use, from medically supervised detox through residential and outpatient treatment. That covers alcohol, opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines, and emerging substances such as kratom. People arrive with different substances and different histories, and the treatment plan is built around the person rather than the drug.
Holding both licenses is exactly why our dual diagnosis treatment works. When co-occurring conditions are treated by one team, in one program, at the same time, nothing gets handed off and nothing gets missed. That integrated care is available in a comfortable, private setting through our luxury program, and we are transparent about what treatment costs before you commit to anything.
Apex Recovery Tennessee is one of the few behavioral health centers in the United States that is clinician-owned and operated. Our founder and CEO, Dr. Matthew Bruhin, recruits administrative and clinical staff dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for mental health and emotional well-being. We ensure our programs in Brentwood and Columbia, Tennessee, offer exemplary levels of safety while promoting lasting mental wellness. Our team includes internal and general medicine physicians, board-certified psychiatrists, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and other specialists focused on improving your psychological health.
Our staff is trained and experienced in providing evidence-based, integrative treatment approaches that achieve results for mental well-being. The members of our treatment team collaborate to focus on each client’s specific needs, whether they are seeking support for emotional health or a co-occurring disorder. By working with clients and their loved ones across the greater Nashville area, our staff provides unparalleled service and support throughout the recovery journey, addressing everything from cognitive health to dual diagnosis challenges.
I struggled with alcohol for many years and found myself at Apex to get help. The entire staff was beyond helpful and truly cared about each persons well being. I have been sober for 46 days and after a 17 year run I am feeling better than I have for a very long time. Thank you Apex for all the love, support and tools. You do great things for people and should feel proud of what you do!!! If you are a person seeking help please do yourself a favor and contact Apex. Many people in the program during my stay had previously been to other rehab facilities (unlike myself) and every single person said Apex was much better than their prior experience(s). I had the drive to get better and Apex knew what I needed. Thank you once again Apex, I love you guys and what you do!!!!
I’ve never felt better in my entire life. I have tried multiple rehab processes. Apex is the only place where I got everything I needed to beat addiction. Full support from medical staff and therapist. Great food & beautiful homes to start your journey to your new life. Apex equips you with the tools you will need the rest of your life. Staying sober is hard, but with support behind you, you can do it. They have continued support even after you have done your 30 days. Out patient classes and weekly visits with a therapist. Their staff is knowledgeable and dedicated to their craft. From meditations, sound bowl healing, yoga, eating clean, managing meds & group therapy, this is the place to get right. The place to release the cares of this world and focus on yourself and your journey in a safe and supportive environment. I owe my life and continued recovery to Apex. A million thanks.
Apex Recovery Tennessee offers free, confidential mental health treatment assessments, helping individuals start their recovery journey with expert care and trust.
City Guides for More Tennessee Communities
Mental health care in Tennessee is not evenly distributed. Nashville and Memphis have options; a lot of towns in between have long waitlists, a single overstretched provider, or nothing at all within a reasonable drive. Over the past few weeks we have published a new set of local pages that look honestly at what mental health support actually exists in specific communities, written for the people who live there.
The Smokies came first. Seasonal work, unpredictable income, and long tourist seasons take a real toll on depression and anxiety, and the off-season is often when it surfaces. Our new pages for Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville cover local access to therapy, psychiatric care, and crisis support for Sevier County residents.
Middle Tennessee followed. Smyrna, Manchester, and Burns are very different places, but smaller towns share a common problem: mental health information written for a city an hour away is not much use at 2am. These pages explain what treatment involves, what the options are locally, and how families in Rutherford, Coffee, and Dickson counties can start.
We also added Collierville for readers in the Memphis suburbs, where the barrier is more often stigma than distance. More towns are on the way. Every community deserves clear, local information about mental health treatment, and we would rather build these pages one town at a time than publish something generic and call it local.
